Paul Carlin has edited feature films and documentaries in the UK and abroad for over twenty years. He works in a variety of genres, from high budget feature films to low budget documentaries. He is also an accomplished music editor, a published writer and teaches editing at the London Consortium.

His vast array of work includes award-winning documentaries such as:
‘Death in Tehran’, Emmy Best news Documentary, 'Baby it's you' (Emmy - best documentary series), 'The Death Train' (Hugo Award - best documentary) and 'Staying Lost' (BBC Indie Awards - best documentary series).

He has been nominated three times by the Royal Television Society for Best Editing on: ‘Visions of Heaven and Hell’, ‘Staying Lost’ and ‘The Hospital – A+E’.

Paul has recently edited the acclaimed feature documentaries ‘Turn it Loose’ (Partizan Films, September 2008) and ‘Calvet’ (to be released in 2011).

As a drama editor, Paul has edited feature films including: 'Reason to Die' (Dir. Tim Spring); 'Dust Devil' (Dir. Richard Stanley); 'I'll Sleep When I'm Dead' (Dir. Mike Hodges); ‘Lilacs’ (Dir Pavel Loungin); ‘In Transit’ (Dir Tom Roberts) and the soon to be released ‘In The Dark Half’ (Dir. Alistair Siddons).

His directorial debut 'Salgado's Spectre of Hope' was selected for the Montreal film festival in 2001.
